The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, PERSPOLIS's Ingmar Bergman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A.K.Sh Albania's Maximino Berto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save A.K.Sh Albania from getting a goal against them. PERSPOLIS's Gianluigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Jaizki in the 9th minute of play. Maximino Berto made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Mihovil Štibić sent off a good shot on target. Maximino Berto made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Cipriano Ganix sent off a good shot on target. PERSPOLIS's Gianluigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Pietras in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, A.K.Sh Albania's Mandi Oca got a free kick in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's Honorio Carceles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximino Berto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximino Berto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Ganix in the 19th minute. Maximino Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingmar Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Berto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro León, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, Cipriano Ganix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Berto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Maximino Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Ganix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute PERSPOLIS were awarded a corner. Honorio Carceles went to the cornerflag to take it. Maximino Berto was a little too slow when Cipriano Ganix got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as PERSPOLIS's Ingmar Bergman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximino Berto. That made the score 5-0 after 41 minutes of play. 44 minutes into the game, Ingmar Bergman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Maximino Berto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 49 minutes PERSPOLIS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Barnaba Pietras who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albano Jaizki to make the kick off. Maximino Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro León, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes in the game, Pedro León dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as A.K.Sh Albania's Barnaba Pietras slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gianluigi Donnarumma. That made the score 6-1 after 57 minutes of play. Enrico Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Gianluigi Donnarumma made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Albano Jaizki sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, A.K.Sh Albania's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Ganix came free, but Maximino Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albano Jaizki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Gianluigi Donnarumma made a huge save. With his leg Gianluigi Donnarumma managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when A.K.Sh Albania's Albano Jaizki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maximino Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingmar Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Berto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Ganix's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Albano Jaizki struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Gianluigi Donnarumma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.K.Sh Albania. After a defensive mix-up in PERSPOLIS's zone, Albano Jaizki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gianluigi Donnarumma came out of the goal and Albano Jaizki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PERSPOLIS made a substitution. Xelo Dagora replaced Cipriano Ganix. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihovil Štibić in the 86th minute of play forced A.K.Sh Albania's goalkeeper Maximino Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Sergio-Roberto Ramos put in a rough tackle. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.K.Sh Albania! The referee gave PERSPOLIS a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Honorio Carceles, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of A.K.Sh Albania's Maximino Berto. 7-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihovil Štibić in the 94th minute of play forced A.K.Sh Albania's goalkeeper Maximino Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, A.K.Sh Albania's goal looked a bit too open when Xelo Dagora came free, but Maximino Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, PERSPOLIS's Ingmar Bergman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximino Berto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. There was no doubt that PERSPOLIS were the better team. PERSPOLIS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
