Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willie Colon in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Mateus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Willie Colon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Virgilio Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgilio Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar De León in the 11th minute of play. If Willie Colon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, JK Kurevere's goal looked a bit too open when Willie Colon came free, but Virgilio Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Willie Colon, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 18 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Virgilio Mateus was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Reisalu in the 22nd minute of play. When Willie Colon came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Atlético Municipal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willie Colon couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Colon in the 27th minute of play forced JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Virgilio Mateus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Willie Colon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Mateus was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by JK Kurevere's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 37th minute Willie Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Mateus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of JK Kurevere booed when Atlético Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Ţiriac didn't get a good kick on the ball. JK Kurevere's Virgilio Mateus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willie Colon in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Municipal getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Héctor Lavø hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, JK Kurevere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ram Bo to maneuver through the defense. JK Kurevere's Gert Arumäe was substituted for Haarald Peelmann. Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Silvanito Gainza replaced Azubeli Roman. Ram Bo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Frank Dusett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Mateus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. JK Kurevere made a substitution. Mairo Koppelmann replaced Robert Müürsepp. In the 72nd minute of the match Atlético Municipal got a corner. JK Kurevere's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oscar De León ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 83 played minutes JK Kurevere got a freekick which was hit by Riivo Arro. 86 minutes into the game, Frank Dusett recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Virgilio Mateus. Frank Dusett showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Virgilio Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Dusett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Manel Fonelleda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chuan Cintron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in JK Kurevere's zone, Frank Dusett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Mateus came out of the goal and Frank Dusett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Frank Dusett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Dusett in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgilio Mateus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlético Municipal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
