Oscar De León fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qiu Chuan Ran having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willie Colon in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qiu Chuan Ran saved Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar De León in the 7th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, 周平荣 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Qiu Chuan Ran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willie Colon. 11 minutes into the game, Claudemiro Madureira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Municipal the free kick. Claudemiro Madureira hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Willie Colon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Qiu Chuan Ran firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 14th minute of play forced Atlético Municipal's goalkeeper Chuan Cintron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qiu Chuan Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willie Colon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Menelaos Damianos kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Qiu Chuan Ran came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Municipal's Willie Colon. But to his dismay, Willie Colon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Willie Colon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Qiu Chuan Ran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Qiu Chuan Ran made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Willie Colon sent off a good shot on target. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar De León in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Willie Colon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Willie Colon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Qiu Chuan Ran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the game, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Gonzalo Lixandro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chuan Cintron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonzalo Lixandro in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chuan Cintron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Gonzalo Lixandro sped through Atlético Municipal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chuan Cintron. Jarkko Tuovinen kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 周平荣 to maneuver through the defense. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willie Colon in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Dusett made a kick off. Qiu Chuan Ran came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Municipal's Oscar De León. But to his dismay, Oscar De León quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Atlético Municipal's Silvanito Gainza was substituted for Azubeli Roman. 62 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Lixandro came free, but Chuan Cintron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Claudemiro Madureira hit a great ball. Qiu Chuan Ran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Dusett, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oscar De León who took care of the corner kick. Chuan Cintron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudemiro Madureira in the 71st minute of the match. Qiu Chuan Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Dusett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 74th minute of play forced Atlético Municipal's goalkeeper Chuan Cintron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Faria in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Israel Carvalhal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chuan Cintron. Israel Carvalhal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 86th minute, Oscar De León hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Atlético Municipal booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Carvalhal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Dusett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Qiu Chuan Ran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Dusett in the 96th minute of play. Oscar De León recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
