Evelio Salvadore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 16th match minute, Winthont FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sander Schaars to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute of the match Tiburcio Guillelmo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dennis Beerthuis skillfully saved the ball. Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Hendrik Ohmer in the 18th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Dennis Beerthuis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Winthont FC's Dennis Beerthuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Hendrik Ohmer in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 played minutes C.A.Esparta got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Hendrik Ohmer. Evelio Salvadore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermengildo Nesor went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The C.A.Esparta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Winthont FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Hendrik Ohmer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Winthont FC's Igor Fujara managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ronaldo Queirós in the 60 minute of the game. A collision led to C.A.Esparta getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sven-Hendrik Ohmer hit a great ball. Hermengildo Nesor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Evelio Salvadore made a huge save. Winthont FC made a substitution. Sixto Gorbea replaced Hermengildo Nesor. Ronaldo Queirós made in the 68th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Oswaldo Junior however managed to control. Dennis Beerthuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Junior in the 72nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Oswaldo Junior put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dennis Beerthuis. When Igor Fujara came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Winthont FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Fujara couldn't finish the play. With his leg Evelio Salvadore managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Winthont FC's Marc van Nistelrooij fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 84 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Fujara. Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Junior in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, C.A.Esparta's Oswaldo Junior nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The supporters of C.A.Esparta booed when Winthont FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marnix Mastebroek didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, C.A.Esparta's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Gorbea came free, but Evelio Salvadore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, C.A.Esparta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Acuña to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Winthont FC's Sixto Gorbea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Evelio Salvadore. That made the score 3-3 after 97 minutes of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
