Spectators: 7705 (Terracing: 5780, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mauro Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthieu Richardot. After a defensive mix-up in Zawisza Bydgoszcz's zone, Ovidiu Poenaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kajetan Dec came out of the goal and Ovidiu Poenaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidiu Poenaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Kajetan Dec made a huge save. When Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Ömer Halisdemir in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DJK Füchtel Vechta's goalie prevented a goal. Ömer Halisdemir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerold Zollt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After 37 minutes DJK Füchtel Vechta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucjan Marchefka who took care of the corner kick. Ömer Halisdemir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerold Zollt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Gerold Zollt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ömer Halisdemir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerold Zollt was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After the first half Zawisza Bydgoszcz were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ovidiu Poenaru was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Matthieu Richardot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Nóbrega came free, but Kajetan Dec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kajetan Dec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthieu Richardot in the 64th minute of play. Gerold Zollt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 75th minute Matthieu Richardot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ömer Halisdemir got free with Gerold Zollt in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the game, Mauro Galvão threw the ball into play from the sideline. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Sebastian Klawke quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 83 minutes, Ömer Halisdemir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ömer Halisdemir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kajetan Dec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ovidiu Poenaru went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute Ovidiu Poenaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerold Zollt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Gerold Zollt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir in the 90th minute of play. Gerold Zollt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ömer Halisdemir went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Zawisza Bydgoszcz had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
