The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Zuasnabar might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Zoff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Zuasnabar ran back to his position shaking his head. Gavião Kyikatejê were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Cormoranii -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodney Lindov took the corner. Miguel Zuasnabar scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dino Zoff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Cormoranii -MM- defense, Miguel Zuasnabar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dino Zoff. The Cormoranii -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dino Zoff should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cormoranii -MM-'s goalkeeper Dino Zoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's Miguel Zuasnabar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Zoff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Gavião Kyikatejê were awarded a corner. Rodney Lindov went to the cornerflag to take it. With 34 minutes on the clock, Marcel Vulpe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 34th minute, one of Cormoranii -MM-:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cormoranii -MM-. Miguel Zuasnabar took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Zoff. Dino Zoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Miguel Zuasnabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Zoff having to interfere. With a little luck, Gavião Kyikatejê's Sitthachat Jampeehom got control of the ball when Eugen Boldur tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes Gavião Kyikatejê's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto Perfumo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Cormoranii -MM-'s corner Costel Diaconu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sitthachat Jampeehom quite easily take care of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Dino Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Miguel Zuasnabar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 61st minute Apolo Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Cormoranii -MM- from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Zuasnabar got free with Dino Zoff in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Cornel Sălcudeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Paul in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Cormoranii -MM- got a corner. Gavião Kyikatejê's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Perfumo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gavião Kyikatejê's Sitthachat Jampeehom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Paul in the 75th minute of play. Cormoranii -MM-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Miguel Zuasnabar scored to the left of an out of position Dino Zoff, making the score, 1-7. Miguel Zuasnabar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Dino Zoff made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Boldur in the 85th minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Cormoranii -MM- from getting a goal against them. Miguel Zuasnabar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Dino Zoff made a huge save. The Cormoranii -MM- supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gavião Kyikatejê's performance. The match ended with a win for Gavião Kyikatejê.
