In the 18th match minute, S.C.CHUÍ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Bartolome to maneuver through the defense. SC Braga's Laçın Cumayev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save SC Braga from getting a goal against them. S.C.CHUÍ's Armando Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 23rd minute of play. Quintino Carvalhais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Cerezo having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Zigmantas Gimbutas came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Åke Mattsson got free with Armando Cerezo in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
