The Uí Fergusa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Rochet should have stopped the shot. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xie Rong Hao in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Percha in the 14th minute of play forced Uí Fergusa's goalkeeper Sergio Rochet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Ortega kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Walery Pazura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But to his dismay, Robert Percha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xie Rong Hao to make the kick off. 71 minutes into the game, KOCAELİSPOR's Seyfullah Tuğsavan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Rochet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seyfullah Tuğsavan during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Seyfullah Tuğsavan got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 96 played minutes Uí Fergusa got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Pitta.
