After 3 minutes of play, KOCAELİSPOR's Robert Percha made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The shot was stopped by Dani Hernández but with some difficulty. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mannuel Ser in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Chivos de Punto Fijo getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Zhao Shu Cheng hit a great ball. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Marinho in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute Nilmar Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilmar Marinho took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şemsettin Tuyuğ. Şemsettin Tuyuğ dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Cerra in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Cerra in the 27th minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seyfullah Tuğsavan came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dani Hernández could save by the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Aykut Nadi came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dani Hernández made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Percha in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Cerra came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aykut Nadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Hernández having to interfere. Juan Torrent scored 5-4 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şemsettin Tuyuğ, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. KOCAELİSPOR were victorious despite being under pressure from Chivos de Punto Fijo for much of the match.
