In the 40th minute of the match Bernardinho Abreu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dani Hernández showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 75 played minutes, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Gaston Botinos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armando Cerezo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivos de Punto Fijo reached it. In the 79th minute Juan Torrent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
