The referee ignored the xeneise dream team's protests and gave Arda Ardashov a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes the xeneise dream team got a freekick which was hit by Arda Ardashov. A collision led to The Shadows getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. After 23 played minutes The Shadows got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Åke Andreasson. Marcos Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacharias Siatzis in the 27th minute of play. the xeneise dream team's Zacharias Siatzis managed to work through The Shadows's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Zacharias Siatzis dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Zacharias Siatzis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Marcos Basso made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Lundqvist in the 34th minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Vinicio Aires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, The Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Zacharias Siatzis came free, but Marcos Basso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paolo Eutor made a kick off. If Zacharias Siatzis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcos Basso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Eutor, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Habil Castolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bastian Von Axelson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vinicio Aires. That made the score 2-1 in the 89 minute of play. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Shadows's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zacharias Siatzis was slow to take the kick. During this time the xeneise dream team's players had a chance to rest. The Shadows's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
