The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cederik Huts made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Vladimir de Sena sent off a good shot on target. Lode Rouvroys might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iurie Chiriacescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lode Rouvroys ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute Baturhan Oytun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cederik Huts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Nicolaas Van Bombergen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolaas Van Bombergen made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by PIAUÍ FC's Renato Sá. Mete Gøl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cederik Huts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iurie Chiriacescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lode Rouvroys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PIAUÍ FC's Mete Gøl was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Lode Rouvroys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cederik Huts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturhan Oytun in the 36th minute of the match.

In the 53rd minute Mete Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cederik Huts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baturhan Oytun took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cederik Huts. Cederik Huts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Kickers United's Cederik Huts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Gøl in the 57th minute of play. Cederik Huts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baturhan Oytun, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. PIAUÍ FC made a substitution. Fernandinho Mesquita replaced Demis Katsarolidis. Mete Gøl took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cederik Huts. Cederik Huts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Cederik Huts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Gøl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to PIAUÍ FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Renato Sá hit a great ball. Mete Gøl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cederik Huts having to interfere. Nicolaas Van Bombergen charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolaas Van Bombergen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 82 minutes, Renato Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PIAUÍ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lode Rouvroys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lode Rouvroys came free, but Iurie Chiriacescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, PIAUÍ FC's Víktor Santos got a free kick in the 88th minute. Nicolaas Van Bombergen hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Lode Rouvroys took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Iurie Chiriacescu to make any attempt to save it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PIAUÍ FC fully deserved thier win.
