A nice corner shot did that Armin Nestares got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diguinho da Mata quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 13th minute of the match Libra got a corner. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauricio Portillo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mauricio Portillo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Diguinho da Mata did a great save. The supporters of Libra booed when Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armin Nestares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diguinho da Mata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Valdemar Olsson was a little too slow when Nildo Alcântara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Nildo Alcântara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valdemar Olsson, 2-1. A collision led to Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Felipe Cabral hit a great ball. With a little luck, Libra's Valdemar Olsson got control of the ball when Nildo Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Otávio Niedermeier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Otávio Niedermeier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Olsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ.
