Filiberto James's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurențiu Susara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Huang Tian Yun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 42 played minutes Saronida FC got a freekick which was hit by Christoforos Iordanakos. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filiberto James to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match, Huang Tian Yun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teodoro Breogan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
