Perivaldo Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ni Le Zheng made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Eger got free with Ni Le Zheng in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Acácio Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Zoetmulder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Acácio Nogueira scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Zoetmulder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Montrel Perpiñán made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Huub Gerrits. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo-Nicolás Perez in the 27th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Cristo Serapio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ni Le Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Tuyp in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Montrel Perpiñán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ni Le Zheng made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Mathias de Ruijter sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perivaldo Eger to strike the kick off in the second half. AC Batán's Üllar Vilba managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jan-Peter Kloppenburg in the 51 minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Nogueira came free, but Mike Zoetmulder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ni Le Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias de Ruijter in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, AC Batán's Acácio Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Zoetmulder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Acácio Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the AC Batán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Nogueira couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, AC Batán's Lautaro Martinez got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute Fu Peng Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Le Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Cristo Serapio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 95th minute of play forced AC Batán's goalkeeper Ni Le Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The De Pelgrims supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AC Batán's performance. The match ended with a win for AC Batán.
