With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Forseth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Duarte Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Cantona. In the 24th minute, Aquiles Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Duarte Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land from getting a goal against them. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Cantona to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 played minutes Saga TF got a freekick which was hit by Trond Gilde. The audience was convinced that Erik Cantona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duarte Duarte was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ulisses Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulisses Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
