If Paulino Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Diamantino Vilela managed to get in a good position for a shot. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Vilela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Sesuldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 25th minute of play forced Firmat Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Marciano Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristopher Johnson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Nesto in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Nesto to strike the kick off in the second half. Kuncho Agüero might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristopher Johnson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kuncho Agüero ran back to his position shaking his head. Brendan Tran hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Kristopher Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Nesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Miroslav Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Sesuldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes Firmat Foot Ball Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bernardo Simões who took care of the corner kick. Miroslav Klose could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Marciano Sesuldo made a huge save. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Kristopher Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuncho Agüero in the 74th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Firmat Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Conrao. Firmat Foot Ball Club made a substitution. Rogelio Romo replaced Kuncho Agüero. Joaquim Bomba came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marciano Sesuldo could save by the left post. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Paulino Nesto sped through QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristopher Johnson. In the 93rd match minute, Firmat Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Necaettin İlseven to maneuver through the defense. Miroslav Klose was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the referee blew the final whistle, Firmat Foot Ball Club could leave the field as winners, despite QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. having more of the ball for most of the match.
