Sydney FC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Aioros FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferdinand Mendy took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Guy Rothe heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Beat Vid made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Emanuel Ogășanu sent off a good shot on target. Aioros FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anton Axelsson in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Aioros FC's Beat Vid got control of the ball when Angelo Milanese tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Axelsson in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Aioros FC were awarded a corner. Anton Axelsson went to the cornerflag to take it. Beat Vid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Önder Cebi in the 19th minute of play. Beat Vid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Rothe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aioros FC's Beat Vid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 25th minute of play. Önder Cebi made a great header on Sydney FC's corner, it was just that Aioros FC's Beat Vid managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Aioros FC's Wang Qi Chang got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Anton Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Titz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Aioros FC's Beat Vid got control of the ball when Emanuel Ogășanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Beat Vid was a little too slow when Önder Cebi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 48th minute of the match, Angelo Milanese got a very nice opportunity to score, but Beat Vid was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Bento Chandeiro made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 52nd minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Beat Vid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aivaras Lozoraitis in the 56th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aioros FC's Beat Vid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 58th minute of play. Beat Vid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Beat Vid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 63rd minute of play. Aivaras Lozoraitis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Titz having to interfere. Aioros FC's Eugenio Baltuile was substituted for Kaloyan Chikov. Beat Vid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Önder Cebi in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Axelsson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Axelsson got free with Sebastian Titz in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Angelo Milanese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beat Vid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Anton Axelsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aioros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Beat Vid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 96th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
