Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Dracena in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Christiano Ronaldo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sonny Alén. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Kamil Momodu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Michal Setara hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Fernando Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Fernado Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bornova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernando Dracena in the 34th minute. The corner led Bornova's Fernando Dracena to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernado Alves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Epigonoi Theohari came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Dracena in the 38th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Fernado Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes Unione Sportiva's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Dracena who took care of the corner kick. Ahmet Nafiz Özilter was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 43 minutes, Şafak Taze mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bornova and the Unione Sportiva players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Şafak Taze hit a great ball.

Sonny Alén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epigonoi Theohari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unione Sportiva's Khariklo Bilias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Michal Setara in the 56 minute of the game. Christiano Ronaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sonny Alén having to make a save. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Ronaldo in the 57th minute of the match. Bornova's Sonny Alén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epigonoi Theohari in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute Epigonoi Theohari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamil Momodu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 minutes of play, Unione Sportiva's Christiano Ronaldo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sonny Alén was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kamil Momodu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fernado Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 78th minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Sonny Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Unione Sportiva got a corner. Bornova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kimon Yfantis ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 85th minute, Christiano Ronaldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Alén was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After 87 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Michal Setara. 88 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Ronaldo came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Nafiz Özilter came free, but Fernado Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bornova players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Unione Sportiva.
