In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crni Tigrovi's goalkeeper Nebojša Jerić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Crni Tigrovi's Nebojša Jerić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ponciano Abarca in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match River CBBA got a corner. Crni Tigrovi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sergio Batista ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led River CBBA's Sergio Batista to fire away a dangerous shot which Nebojša Jerić despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neno Gudelj in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, Crni Tigrovi's Nebojša Jerić got control of the ball when Argoitz Abeijon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match River CBBA got a corner. Crni Tigrovi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sergio Batista ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Crni Tigrovi's goalie and right to Hector Enrique. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Crni Tigrovi's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 23rd minute of the match, Ponciano Abarca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nebojša Jerić saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nebojša Jerić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ponciano Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Crni Tigrovi's Nebojša Jerić got control of the ball when Ponciano Abarca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ponciano Abarca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nebojša Jerić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Crni Tigrovi getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lazar Kotlar hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Ponciano Abarca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neno Gudelj stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Argoitz Abeijon took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nebojša Jerić. Nebojša Jerić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Argoitz Abeijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nebojša Jerić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Njegoš Kresić kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Juan Funes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River CBBA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 68 minutes into the match, Crni Tigrovi's goal looked a bit too open when Argoitz Abeijon came free, but Nebojša Jerić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute River CBBA were awarded a corner. Sergio Batista went to the cornerflag to take it. River CBBA's Sergio Batista was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nebojša Jerić in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Juan Funes took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nebojša Jerić. Nebojša Jerić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. River CBBA's Simon Gustafson was substituted for Varis Birgelis. Nebojša Jerić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Funes, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Nebojša Jerić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Funes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, River CBBA's Juan Funes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nebojša Jerić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. River CBBA's Boğaçhan Akyel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cláudio Amaro in the 85 minute of the game. After having played for 91 minutes, Pompiliu Bacalbașa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crni Tigrovi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pompiliu Bacalbașa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A nice corner shot did that Argoitz Abeijon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nebojša Jerić quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Laureano Beltza got a free kick in the 95th minute.
