The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herb Good showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When River CBBA's Argoitz Abeijon in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalie prevented a goal. Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Funes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Funes in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herb Good prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Juan Funes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Herb Good. In the 20th minute Juan Funes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herb Good saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Funes took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herb Good. Herb Good dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 26th minute Jean Britton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Enrique in the 27th minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herb Good came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by River CBBA's Argoitz Abeijon. But to his dismay, Argoitz Abeijon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Boğaçhan Akyel with Arano Abendano as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argoitz Abeijon in the 39th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, River CBBA's Juan Funes made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herb Good was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute, Garland Noël hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Rainier Steiner.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Funes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Enrique in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Argoitz Abeijon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herb Good. Argoitz Abeijon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Juan Funes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 57th playminute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías Almeida during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, River CBBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Almeida to maneuver through the defense. River CBBA made a substitution. Varis Birgelis replaced Hector Enrique. River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca was substituted for Juan Funes. In the 64th minute, Matías Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. River CBBA's Matías Almeida managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Antony Lofton in the 71 minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Barovero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Britton came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 87th minute of play. When Jean Britton came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Britton couldn't finish the play. River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 93rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. River CBBA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
