FC Maci -MM-'s Rudolf Dombi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Sami Zübeyr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Sami Zübeyr notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán. Álvaro Perpiñán was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davor Šuker got free with Tristan Falco in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
