Basri İhtiyar guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Cesare Punta sped through Yalapa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basri İhtiyar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fermin Dolfo was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Sao Brasola's Urbano Saturnin got control of the ball when Fermin Dolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tore-Andre Flø struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Urbano Saturnin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yalapa.
