José Chilavert came out of the goal and Iosif Găman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară got control of the ball when Gernando Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgiy Voroshilov in the 16th minute of play. José Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silviu Latarețu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Latarețu in the 24th minute of play forced Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Găman in the 27th minute of the match. After 27th play minutes Silviu Latarețu shot 0-2, a short shot which went by José Chilavert and just under the crossbar into goal. Iacob Povară made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georgiy Voroshilov in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Latarețu in the 39th minute of play forced Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Cordeiro. 46 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Latarețu came free, but José Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Ilie Danciu got a free kick in the 47th minute. Catarinense F.C.'s Domingo Cavallo was substituted for Artemio Natal. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gernando Cordeiro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Cordeiro in the 57th minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Gabirel charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Gabirel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Catarinense F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Iacob Povară came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Catarinense F.C.'s Gernando Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Gernando Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA made a substitution. Gheorghe Bociort replaced Silviu Latarețu. With a little luck, Catarinense F.C.'s José Chilavert got control of the ball when Gheorghe Bociort tried to sneak it across the goal line. Catarinense F.C.'s Angel Diagur was substituted for Gernando Cordeiro. After 77 minutes Catarinense F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luca Pancu who took care of the corner kick. 79 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Papacharalabous came free, but Iacob Povară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iacob Povară showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Diagur, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Francisc Ciocoiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Chilavert firmly grabbed it by the left post. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
