In the 4th minute Denis Mero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when Granadero10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tana Rede didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Celedonio Madeo got a free kick in the 11th minute. Rigoberto Nazario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beniamin Madajczyk in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Granadero10 got a corner. Argentinos Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vítor Antunes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ricardinho Fonseca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rigoberto Nazario quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alfredinho Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Fințescu in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Tana Rede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Argentinos Juniors from getting a goal against them. Beniamin Madajczyk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rigoberto Nazario made a huge save. In the 39th minute Petruț Fințescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Fințescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beniamin Madajczyk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rigoberto Nazario having to make a save. 48 minutes into the match, Petruț Fințescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Granadero10's Alfredinho Cavalcante. Alfredinho Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petruț Fințescu made a kick off. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tana Rede in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Granadero10 were awarded a corner. Vítor Antunes went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Bartlomiej Mosiniak got a free kick in the 57th minute. Rigoberto Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beniamin Madajczyk in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Roberto Trotta got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Argentinos Juniors's Robert Wilson was substituted for Eleuterio Milian. In the 94th minute Norberto Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Norberto Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Granadero10 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Argentinos Juniors for a fine match.
