After 25 played minutes Los Andes FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu do Nascimento. After a defensive mix-up in Australian Youth Academy's zone, Gernando Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keylor Navas came out of the goal and Gernando Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garth Brough took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruy Montenegro. Ruy Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruy Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. Rufus Roach hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Roman Quexal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Keylor Navas made a huge save. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amadeu do Nascimento in the 43rd minute. The corner ended in Amadeu do Nascimento almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garth Brough in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruy Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Los Andes FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo do Nascimento. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garth Brough in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Ruy Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Garth Brough sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Fortunato Froněk notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas. Keylor Navas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba was substituted for Gabriel Martini. Ruy Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fletcher Baba in the 76th minute of play. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos-Henrique Casemiro in the 77th minute of play. Keylor Navas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeu do Nascimento went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
