Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Bosch in the 26th minute of play. Ermengol Baena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio FBPA's zone, Solustiano Blea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Sanches came out of the goal and Solustiano Blea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute Franco Bosch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermengol Baena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Diamantino Cabral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ermengol Baena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nicollao Narbona charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicollao Narbona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pipis Karapatakis made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Franco Bosch notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches. Jardel Sanches was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 61 minutes into the match, Pipis Karapatakis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ermengol Baena, 2-1. In the 70thth minute of the game Franco Bosch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Franco Bosch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jardel Sanches. Grêmio FBPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franco Bosch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 81 minutes into the match, Franco Bosch notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches. Jardel Sanches was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grêmio FBPA made a substitution. Ted Hoogenkamp replaced Filiph Biörling. 86 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Nicollao Narbona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel Sanches narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Franco Bosch sped through Grêmio FBPA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jardel Sanches.
