The Delta FS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 8th minute Ellis Hoskin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Roriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualter Roriz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gualter Roriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 18th minute of play. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Tab in the 20th minute of the match. Gualter Roriz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garth Brough's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Delta FS's zone, Garth Brough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualter Roriz came out of the goal and Garth Brough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kong Xi Liang hit a great ball. After 30 minutes Australian Youth Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lisandro Tab who took care of the corner kick. Harry Bengtsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. Delta FS's Álvaro Vilaverde was substituted for Napoleon Tylenda. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Delta FS! With a little luck, Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas got control of the ball when Lisandro Tab tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delta FS were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Australian Youth Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lisandro Tab took the corner. The corner ended in Hélder Cavaco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas did a great save. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gualter Roriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Garth Brough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Australian Youth Academy made a substitution. Fletcher Baba replaced Gabriel Martini. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garth Brough made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Jason Butterfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Jason Butterfield. Keylor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Tab, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Tab in the 64th minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, Delta FS's Álvaro Vilaverde made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keylor Navas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Garth Brough got free with Gualter Roriz in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delta FS's Gualter Roriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Delta FS from getting a goal against them. Amedeo De Matteis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keylor Navas having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Tab came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Amedeo De Matteis notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas. Keylor Navas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
