In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 11th minute of play forced Stone City's goalkeeper Roch Grondzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keylor Navas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pavel Balc in the 13th minute. Roch Grondzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Garth Brough was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Roch Grondzki came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough. But to his dismay, Garth Brough quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute Pavel Balc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavel Balc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hermengildo Mambru kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Ellis Hoskin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Grondzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Roch Grondzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Ellis Hoskin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roch Grondzki. Stone City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ellis Hoskin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 54 played minutes Stone City got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Herrera. Garth Brough hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba was substituted for Gabriel Martini. Stone City made a substitution. Tasos Fasoulas replaced Pavel Balc. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Garth Brough hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Stone City's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Brough came free, but Roch Grondzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Garth Brough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roch Grondzki. The goal made the score 0-3. Roch Grondzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Cornelius. After 85 minutes, Adrian Aznar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stone City and the Australian Youth Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roch Grondzki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. Roch Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Brough in the 87th minute of the match. Stone City's Roch Grondzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Stone City from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tasos Fasoulas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stone City's supporters rose to their feet, but Tasos Fasoulas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keylor Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fletcher Baba got free with Roch Grondzki in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the game, Stone City's Tasos Fasoulas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keylor Navas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 98 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tasos Fasoulas came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stone City were awarded a corner in the 100th minute after Australian Youth Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Esteve Argenis took the corner. Esteve Argenis made a great header on Stone City's corner, it was just that Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas managed to reach the ball for a save. Australian Youth Academy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
