In the 15th minute, one of Australian Youth Academy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Australian Youth Academy. Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Keylor Navas made a huge save. David Trulsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Iago Xerifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Brough came free, but David Trulsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 24th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Brown Haslett. 27 minutes in the game Theo Lucius after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Keylor Navas. A very good opportunity. In the 40th minute, Rareș Nicola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Rufus Roach got a free kick in the 46th minute. Älta BK's Theo Lucius couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Australian Youth Academy. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henk Veerman to strike the kick off in the second half. Älta BK's David Trulsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Älta BK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Veerman in the 62nd minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Älta BK made a substitution. Henning Gulliksson replaced Björn van der Doelen. Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba was substituted for Gabriel Martini. It was a well-played corner which Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Älta BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Faber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Garth Brough ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Trulsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukas Falkrans in the 71st minute of the match. Lukas Falkrans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keylor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukas Falkrans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfons Gregersson in the 85th minute of the match. Keylor Navas came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Älta BK's Alfons Gregersson. But to his dismay, Alfons Gregersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Alfons Gregersson scored 2-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keylor Navas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute Lukas Falkrans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
