Spectators: 7756 (Terracing: 5819, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) When Pipis Karapatakis came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Grêmio FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pipis Karapatakis couldn't finish the play. Jardel Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Piretti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Jens-Åke Sundström threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grêmio FBPA's Humberto Locaio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pipis Karapatakis in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christophe Rau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grêmio FBPA were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Talenti Roma Calcio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Estevon took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Pipis Karapatakis managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jardel Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Mark in the 20th minute. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grêmio FBPA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celso Bibiano was slow to take the kick. During this time Talenti Roma Calcio's players had a chance to rest. Christophe Rau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 24th minute of play. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pipis Karapatakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christophe Rau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pipis Karapatakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Christophe Rau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 39th minute of the match, Jeremias Mark tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jardel Sanches saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Rau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Pipis Karapatakis sped through Talenti Roma Calcio's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christophe Rau. After the first half Grêmio FBPA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Pipis Karapatakis made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Grêmio FBPA getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Kaká Rot hit a great ball. In the 51st match minute, Talenti Roma Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Di Sipio to maneuver through the defense. Talenti Roma Calcio's Christophe Rau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Talenti Roma Calcio from getting a goal against them. Christophe Rau came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis. But to his dismay, Pipis Karapatakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 60th minute, Alberto Estevon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christophe Rau was a little too slow when Pipis Karapatakis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-3. Grêmio FBPA made a substitution. Ted Hoogenkamp replaced Filiph Biörling. Aldo Ianni made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Grêmio FBPA's Rafa de Almeida. Jardel Sanches didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremias Mark went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Mark came free, but Jardel Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Talenti Roma Calcio made a substitution. Fabiano Palmucci replaced Buğrahan Vecih. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Grêmio FBPA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
