Hans-Joachim Amerhauser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bozhil Vaptzarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute of the match, Stephan Appiah tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gonsalve Flores saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Ciolofan got free with Gonsalve Flores in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U.D. Mancini's Agustín Pedrosa was substituted for Kadir Celilay.
