Sérgio Aguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. POSSE 1911 FC's Lukas Lundgren got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Nicasio Amor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POSSE 1911 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unikurdos United F.C. the free kick. A collision led to POSSE 1911 FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nicasio Amor hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Fribäck in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Xabel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, POSSE 1911 FC's Sérgio Aguero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Angel Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Fribäck in the 28th minute of play. Unikurdos United F.C. made a substitution. Hever Zapatero replaced Joaquin Champ. Unikurdos United F.C. were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after POSSE 1911 FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ortzi Goxenola took the corner. The corner led to Unikurdos United F.C.'s Hever Zapatero getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Unikurdos United F.C.'s attentive Gaizka Mendieta managed to snatch the ball when Mincho Shahanov made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. Angel Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Fribäck in the 44th minute of play. When Hever Zapatero came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Unikurdos United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hever Zapatero couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Fribäck in the 47th minute of play forced POSSE 1911 FC's goalkeeper Angel Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Unikurdos United F.C.'s zone, Lukas Lundgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sesuldo Teijelo came out of the goal and Lukas Lundgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unikurdos United F.C. made a substitution. Rojelio Carrera replaced Daniel Fribäck. After a rather tough play, POSSE 1911 FC's Modesto Bernat got a free kick in the 60th minute. Unikurdos United F.C.'s Sesuldo Teijelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Aguero in the 62nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Lukas Lundgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sesuldo Teijelo was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Sesuldo Teijelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Aguero in the 73rd minute of play. Unikurdos United F.C.'s Hever Zapatero shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Angel Xabel but with some difficulty. When Rojelio Carrera came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Unikurdos United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rojelio Carrera couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the POSSE 1911 FC defense, Rojelio Carrera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Xabel. The POSSE 1911 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Xabel should have stopped the shot. Unikurdos United F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
