In the 17th minute of the match The Masters got a corner. PicksBattle.com's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. José Luis Neves ran over to the corner to take the kick. David Ferran made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Franco Alfonso sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, The Masters's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Solo came free, but Folkert Vos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gao Yong Zhen came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the PicksBattle.com fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gao Yong Zhen couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Mouricio in the 47th minute of play forced The Masters's goalkeeper Folkert Vos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Roger Flor made the kick off in the second half.
