Damaso Hurko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caskinha Esporte Clube's Leandro Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerold Grijalba in the 23rd minute of play. Damaso Hurko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Tróia in the 25th minute of the match. Leandro Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerold Grijalba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Austral FC's Jerold Grijalba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute Austral FC were awarded a corner. Nisio Iturmendi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Austral FC's Nisio Iturmendi to fire away a dangerous shot which Leandro Neves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 45 played minutes Caskinha Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Artur Campidelis. Jerold Grijalba took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Neves. Leandro Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerold Grijalba was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Austral FC's Goizeder Infante got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Artur Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Caskinha Esporte Clube's Luiz Eduardo Tróia in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Artur Campidelis's late challenge caught a Austral FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Caskinha Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Artur Campidelis. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
