In the 4th minute of the match Los Muñes de Don Cuco got a corner. Austral FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guaberto Jacindo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Guaberto Jacindo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Damaso Hurko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 10 minutes into the match, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Rien Oss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damaso Hurko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Austral FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guaberto Jacindo was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Muñes de Don Cuco's players had a chance to rest. In the 15th minute, Rien Oss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Austral FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rien Oss came free, but Damaso Hurko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Hurko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rien Oss, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The Los Muñes de Don Cuco fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Rien Oss looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Baron Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerold Grijalba in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Rien Oss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rien Oss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Benavente charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Benavente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Austral FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ramiro Benavente hit a great ball. Damaso Hurko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rien Oss, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Laureano Pinillos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baron Buffon having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerold Grijalba was the one to do the kick off. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Ramon Pero was substituted for Rien Oss. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's attentive Bradley Barrett managed to snatch the ball when Ramiro Benavente made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. In the 61st match minute, Los Muñes de Don Cuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Doe to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Benavente made in the 64th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jerold Grijalba however managed to control. Los Muñes de Don Cuco made a substitution. Aureliano Cordeiro replaced Guaberto Jacindo. In the 74th minute, Ramiro Benavente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Austral FC's zone, Ramon Pero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Hurko came out of the goal and Ramon Pero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Austral FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Los Muñes de Don Cuco had controlled the match.
