The supporters of Red Reign booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okan Koc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute Maximo Villamarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Stiinta-Univ.'s zone, Ximun Jaen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Crețu came out of the goal and Ximun Jaen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dawid Ratulowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Ming Sheng in the 19th minute of the match. Aurel Panait who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Dawid Ratulowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 26th minute of play forced Red Reign's goalkeeper Dawid Ratulowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vágner Vargas made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Shi Ming Sheng however managed to control. Aurel Panait could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Dawid Ratulowski made a huge save. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lopez Portanares in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ming Sheng came free, but Dawid Ratulowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Maximo Villamarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Crețu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 38th minute Shi Ming Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawid Ratulowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Reign's Dawid Ratulowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Red Reign from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes in the game Vágner Vargas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Shi Ming Sheng. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Stiinta-Univ.'s Valeriu Morovan was substituted for Okan Koc. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valeriu Morovan to make the kick off. Stiinta-Univ.'s Muhammet Altın was substituted for Viteazul Flore. Red Reign made a substitution. Pablo Beloso replaced Lopez Portanares. Dawid Ratulowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurel Panait's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Maximo Villamarin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Crețu having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Stiinta-Univ. lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
