Jerold Grijalba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernd Yuschni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Herbert Busch threw the ball into play from the sideline. Austral FC's Nisio Iturmendi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bernd Yuschni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerold Grijalba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Argina might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damaso Hurko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Argina ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the game, Herbert Busch threw the ball into play from the sideline. Austral FC's Nisio Iturmendi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bernd Yuschni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerold Grijalba went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 22 played minutes Hannover Reds got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Busch. In the 27th minute of the game Lei Xiang Rong made a throw-in which Willi Tilmann played forward. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerold Grijalba in the 30th minute of play. Jerold Grijalba took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernd Yuschni. Bernd Yuschni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, Jerold Grijalba notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni. Bernd Yuschni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, Austral FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Voss came free, but Damaso Hurko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Argina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Hurko having to interfere. Damaso Hurko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Willi Tilmann went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Emilio Argina made the kick off in the second half. Austral FC's Nisio Iturmendi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Herbert Busch, made in the 52nd minute of the game. 53 minutes into the match, Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerold Grijalba. When Hannover Reds's Emilio Argina in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Damaso Hurko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willi Tilmann in the 60th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Hannover Reds:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Austral FC:s goal. 64 minutes into the match, Hannover Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Jerold Grijalba came free, but Bernd Yuschni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes of play, Hannover Reds's Emilio Argina made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damaso Hurko was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Jerold Grijalba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerold Grijalba in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernd Yuschni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernd Yuschni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerold Grijalba in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Argina in the 79th minute of play forced Austral FC's goalkeeper Damaso Hurko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Herbert Busch in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Austral FC's Nisio Iturmendi. In the 85th minute, Jerold Grijalba made a precise shot to the right of Bernd Yuschni. Hannover Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Austral FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
