Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Tamulewicz in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Tamulewicz in the 4th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stelian Butuc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Ming Sheng in the 5th minute of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Shi Ming Sheng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dacians Academy's Stelian Butuc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Crețu was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Xavi Popescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xavi Popescu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 12th minute Virgil Oargă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Butuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Oargă in the 16th minute of play forced Dacians Academy's goalkeeper Stelian Butuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgill van Dijk was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, one of Dacians Academy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Stelian Butuc had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Virgil Oargă's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Stelian Butuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Panait, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Anghel got free with Martin Crețu in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 played minutes Dacians Academy got a freekick which was hit by Charis Perdikopoulos. Shi Ming Sheng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stelian Butuc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Tamulewicz in the 34th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Stiinta-Univ.'s Șerban Rușanu was substituted for Virgil Oargă. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manole Anghel to strike the kick off in the second half. Valeriu Morovan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stelian Butuc firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valeriu Morovan got free with Stelian Butuc in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stelian Butuc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurel Panait in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Xavi Popescu came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antoni Kachamakov hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Shi Ming Sheng got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stelian Butuc quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 69th minute Iwo Tamulewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Anghel in the 71st minute of play. In the 71st minute, Tomasz Gacek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavi Popescu in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Antoni Kachamakov hit a great ball. In the 76th minute of the match Fermin Prejun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Crețu skillfully saved the ball. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavi Popescu in the 77th minute of the match. Martin Crețu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Anghel, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 79th minute Manole Anghel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Panait succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 88th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 91st minute of play forced Dacians Academy's goalkeeper Stelian Butuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurel Panait received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stelian Butuc came out and tried to block the shot, but Aurel Panait slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 97th minute. The Stiinta-Univ. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stiinta-Univ. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
