After 3 minutes, Ramiro Benavente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austral FC and the Los Muñes de Don Cuco players grew even worse after the yellow card. 5 minutes into the match, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's goal looked a bit too open when Jerold Grijalba came free, but Baron Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Austral FC were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Los Muñes de Don Cuco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nisio Iturmendi took the corner. In the 9th minute, Nuralp Başdemir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Muñes de Don Cuco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 15th minute Jerold Grijalba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baron Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aureliano Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Muñes de Don Cuco's protests and gave Aureliano Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Aureliano Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Austral FC's Nisio Iturmendi tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Baron Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Pinillos in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Austral FC booed when Los Muñes de Don Cuco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Doe didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Damaso Hurko threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nuralp Başdemir, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Austral FC's Augusto Valda was substituted for Ramiro Benavente. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Valda made a kick off. With a little luck, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Baron Buffon got control of the ball when Felipe Benito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Menendo Tella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baron Buffon having to interfere. Baron Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerold Grijalba, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Aureliano Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Ramon Pero was substituted for Peyami Hasanbeyli. Aureliano Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Baron Buffon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Los Muñes de Don Cuco from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute Austral FC were awarded a corner. Augusto Valda went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 63rd minute, Goizeder Infante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Menendo Tella could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Baron Buffon however easily saved by the left post. With 68 minutes on the clock, Huang Zhan Xuan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Huang Zhan Xuan got a free kick in the 69th minute. Nisio Iturmendi came free in the 70th minute and tried to tip the ball over Baron Buffon, but to the joy of Los Muñes de Don Cuco's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. When Menendo Tella came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Austral FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Menendo Tella couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Austral FC's zone, Bradley Barrett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Hurko came out of the goal and Bradley Barrett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baron Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Valda in the 84th minute of play. Rien Oss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baron Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Valda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Los Muñes de Don Cuco could leave the field as winners, despite Austral FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
