Telo Estruch might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henri-Patrick De Mare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Telo Estruch ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabríel Vassaras in the 20th minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Franco Sampler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Lindberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henri-Patrick De Mare having to make a save. Henri-Patrick De Mare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Comunardo Cianci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Sampler having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Dan Cutean suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Gervasio Hitz charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gervasio Hitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vc Brye made a substitution. Fox 鲁迅 replaced Dan Cutean. After a rather tough play, Mercado Paulista F.C's Gervasio Hitz got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute, Cristian Vieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vc Brye fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Henri-Patrick De Mare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kent Lindberg in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabríel Vassaras in the 43rd minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Franco Sampler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mercado Paulista F.C made a substitution. Cristian de Lima replaced Kent Lindberg. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabríel Vassaras made a kick off. Cristian Vieri took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franco Sampler. Franco Sampler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cristian de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Franco Sampler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Cianci in the 57th minute of the match. Henri-Patrick De Mare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Vieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Franco Sampler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vc Brye defense, Cristian de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henri-Patrick De Mare. The Vc Brye fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henri-Patrick De Mare should have stopped the shot. Gabríel Vassaras received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Franco Sampler came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabríel Vassaras slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 79th minute. Adolfo Jorrin kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian de Lima in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henri-Patrick De Mare saved Vc Brye from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Comunardo Cianci in the 91st minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Franco Sampler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vc Brye's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcio Lacorte in the 93rd minute. The corner ended in Marcio Lacorte almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler did a great save. Cristian de Lima's late challenge caught a Vc Brye's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian de Lima helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian de Lima hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Vc Brye's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
