The MZ Fénix fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when MZ Fénix's Aras Görkem Kaymaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Norberto Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 13th minute of play. Norberto Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Kong Chang Zheng made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MZ Fénix's Tomasz Waldoch. In the 28th minute, M. Agus Young ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pankracy Zajonc was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Santa Lucia de Merlo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Aras Görkem Kaymaz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ermegildo Izaguirre hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Florin Dragușin kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Nicolas Balsemão hit a great ball. Levan Poggenborg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when M. Agus Young stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Cai Yuan Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZ Fénix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cai Yuan Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Santa Lucia de Merlo booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Balsemão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goal looked a bit too open when Levan Poggenborg came free, but Pankracy Zajonc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Norberto Tino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Kong Chang Zheng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santa Lucia de Merlo made a substitution. Prospero Bernard replaced M. Agus Young. Kong Chang Zheng hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 80th play minute Cai Yuan Yuan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Norberto Tino. 1-3. In the 84th minute, Nicolas Balsemão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levan Poggenborg in the 87th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Kong Chang Zheng in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MZ Fénix's Florin Dragușin. 90 minutes into the match, Cai Yuan Yuan notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Santa Lucia de Merlo's Norberto Tino. Norberto Tino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 95th match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded MZ Fénix left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santa Lucia de Merlo.
