Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt-Rune Fastesson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Hildeberto Carvalho replaced Hernán Leandro. ACF Fiorentina's Saturnino Michael was substituted for Bengt-Rune Fastesson. ACF Fiorentina's Maximino Cabezon was substituted for Enzo Miccio. The throw-in from Hu Xi in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santa Lucia de Merlo's Kong Chang Zheng. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 76th minute of play. With his leg Federico Kalinowski managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Polo Quinteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hildeberto Carvalho hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Maximino Cabezon took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florentino Herauso. Florentino Herauso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 87 minutes into the match, Maximino Cabezon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florentino Herauso. Santa Lucia de Merlo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Cabezon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Federico Kalinowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Polo Quinteros in the 92nd minute of the match. Maximino Cabezon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
