After 25 minutes Várzea F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valter Malekin who took care of the corner kick. México Eterno MZC's Valter Malekin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Augusto Quintal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anderson Paiva got free with Jailson Aparecido in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jailson Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jude Monkhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match, Anderson Paiva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jailson Aparecido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jailson Aparecido was a little too slow when Anderson Paiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anderson Paiva got free with Jailson Aparecido in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Secco to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jude Monkhouse to strike the kick off in the second half. Jude Monkhouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dieter Gamache struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Carlos Augusto Quintal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for México Eterno MZC. México Eterno MZC made a substitution. Diego Ribas replaced Marcos Fantini. Valter Malekin kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. With a little luck, Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal got control of the ball when Aristide Ciuvică tried to sneak it across the goal line. México Eterno MZC's Jailson Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jude Monkhouse in the 66th minute of play. Rogério Saldanha took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jailson Aparecido. Jailson Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Várzea F.C. made a substitution. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Richart Richardsson put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal. In the 95th minute of the match Valter Malekin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Augusto Quintal skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Várzea F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
