Pål Sefastsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 10th match minute, Cougars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehat Kovaçi to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes National Team Cape-Verde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Angel Morales who took care of the corner kick. 18 minutes into the game, Mehat Kovaçi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pål Sefastsson. Mehat Kovaçi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 23rdth minute of the game Mehat Kovaçi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Henrik Örnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Melander came free, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. National Team Cape-Verde's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Mehat Kovaçi scored to the left of an out of position Pål Sefastsson, making the score, 3-0. Cris Montoia got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bennvar Post. A collision led to National Team Cape-Verde getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Johannes Stenqvist hit a great ball. Leon Fasgar hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mehat Kovaçi made a kick off. Mehat Kovaçi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pål Sefastsson having to make a save. Pål Sefastsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Mehat Kovaçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Steffen Gimlinge made a precise shot to the right of Pål Sefastsson. National Team Cape-Verde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steffen Gimlinge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Arnoud de Pelsmakere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cougars FC had won after a very even match.
