With an all-out effort, ARAKLISPOR's Arnoud de Pelsmakere threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sílvio Pires, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 22nd minute of the match, Sílvio Pires tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Guimarães in the 24th minute of play forced ARAKLISPOR's goalkeeper Aşık Tunçdağ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute of the game Dong Zhan Xiang made a throw-in which Baykan Sönmez played forward. Mehat Kovaçi might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aşık Tunçdağ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehat Kovaçi ran back to his position shaking his head. Aşık Tunçdağ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mehat Kovaçi's shot from short distance in the 39th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehat Kovaçi to make the kick off. Mehmet Poyraz charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Poyraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ARAKLISPOR getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Mehmet Poyraz hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, ARAKLISPOR's goalkeeper Aşık Tunçdağ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehat Kovaçi. Aşık Tunçdağ was a little too slow when Mehat Kovaçi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-1. ARAKLISPOR's Mehmet Efe Uzbay was substituted for Aybars Öveç. ARAKLISPOR made a substitution. Orhan Erşahan replaced Mehmet Poyraz. Jannic De Vreese made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ARAKLISPOR's Kylan Mbappè. 66 minutes into the game, Baykan Sönmez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Arnoud de Pelsmakere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Baykan Sönmez came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the ARAKLISPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baykan Sönmez couldn't finish the play. Hans Kullander made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Baykan Sönmez. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when ARAKLISPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behlül Ilgın didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, ARAKLISPOR's Behlül Ilgın got a free kick in the 78th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Gerardo Nesto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aşık Tunçdağ. Gerardo Nesto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After 86 minutes ARAKLISPOR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fiori Guimarães who took care of the corner kick. 91 minutes into the match, ARAKLISPOR's goalkeeper Aşık Tunçdağ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffen Gimlinge. When Steffen Gimlinge, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 91 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Aşık Tunçdağ was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Nesto in the 93rd minute of play forced ARAKLISPOR's goalkeeper Aşık Tunçdağ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cougars FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
