With a little luck, Brugge United's Vítor Baia got control of the ball when Cemal Palabıyık tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cemal Palabıyık's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Vítor Baia - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 15th minute. The supporters of Brugge United booed when Rega Merida CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantin Arnăuțescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Sârban in the 24th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percy da Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percy da Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Nistor Sârban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Konstanty Wawro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Vissenaeken's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Guido Vissenaeken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstanty Wawro having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Rega Merida CF got a freekick which was hit by Lech Matela. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rega Merida CF's goalkeeper Konstanty Wawro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brugge United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaspar Van Den Broeck in the 39th minute. Brugge United's Will Deman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ersen Durmus in the 41 minute of the game. Telis Lianos hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Nistor Sârban made the kick off in the second half. Rega Merida CF's Konstanty Wawro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 59th minute of play. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Dziurowicz in the 62nd minute of play. Vítor Baia came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rega Merida CF's Wasyl Dziurowicz. But to his dismay, Wasyl Dziurowicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rega Merida CF's Konstanty Wawro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Rega Merida CF from getting a goal against them. Konstanty Wawro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 71st minute. Rega Merida CF made a substitution. Konrad Knopek replaced Nistor Sârban. Rega Merida CF's Bartosz Loncki was substituted for Telis Lianos. A sloppy throw-in by Dacian Hrean in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rega Merida CF's Constantin Arnăuțescu. In the 77th minute Arnauld Van Impe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstanty Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Konrad Knopek took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Baia. Vítor Baia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Konstanty Wawro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goffrey Sas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goal looked a bit too open when Arnauld Van Impe came free, but Konstanty Wawro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Arnauld Van Impe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Konstanty Wawro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Rega Merida CF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
