The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Javier Maroto hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Gabriele Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. Uriel Gorri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Villalcazar having to make a save. When Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Batuhin in the 20th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Gabriele Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, David Batuhin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Salvidor. Menchu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Batuhin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tomas Cordaryal made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gabriele Batistuta. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gabriele Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. 43 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Villalcazar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Menchu FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cuatrodeocho were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Batuhin made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Batuhin came free, but Camilo Salvidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cuatrodeocho made a substitution. José Planes replaced Sid Wilson. Cuatrodeocho's Iván Villafane was substituted for David Batuhin. Menchu FC's Primitivo Rocendo was substituted for Peter Söderqwist. After 73 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriele Batistuta. In the 74th minute, Iván Villafane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cuatrodeocho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Primitivo Rocendo's late challenge caught a Cuatrodeocho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Rocendo helped the player get up and apologised. Primitivo Rocendo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Roberto Carlo made in the 82nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Primitivo Rocendo. In the 83rd minute, Gaston Firmo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menchu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdoulay Doucouré in the 88th minute of play forced Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Villalcazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91stth minute of the game Gaston Firmo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cuatrodeocho's Ramiro Oliverio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Gaston Firmo notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar. Fulgencio Villalcazar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Menchu FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
