Northland Vikings's Benne Benneborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boguslaw Tarasek in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gao Peng Ran in the 19th minute of play forced ITAFUT 4EVER's goalkeeper Nilson Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gao Peng Ran got free with Nilson Peres in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Northland Vikings's Jorge Azenha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Robert Arboleda in the 22 minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Northland Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Tarasek came free, but Benne Benneborg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benne Benneborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Baggio in the 28th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Boguslaw Tarasek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benne Benneborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benne Benneborg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastião Henriques's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jardel Baggio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
