Spectators: 8038 (Terracing: 6029, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andries De Putter got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 3rd minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Lei Bin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Zeng Sang Chao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andries De Putter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andries De Putter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 minutes AFC United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihăiţă Ilarie who took care of the corner kick. Isaac Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andries De Putter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, AFC United's Lei Bin got control of the ball when Tiberiu Caramarin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Andries De Putter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andries De Putter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiberiu Caramarin to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Andries De Putter came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, AFC United's Andries De Putter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calistrat Madgearu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AFC United's Andries De Putter got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Caramarin to maneuver through the defense. Calistrat Madgearu came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC United's Andries De Putter. But to his dismay, Andries De Putter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. MIT's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andries De Putter in the 71st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Andries De Putter managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC United's supporters rose to their feet, but Andries De Putter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calistrat Madgearu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MIT's David Tunander was substituted for Dorin Banu. AFC United made a substitution. Faustino Asprilla replaced Andries De Putter. AFC United's Lei Bin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 82nd minute of play. When Nicodim Orășan came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicodim Orășan couldn't finish the play. MIT made a substitution. Aurel Buzea replaced Florin Seremet. MIT's Bogdan Bucataru was substituted for Mihăiţă Ilarie. After 89 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Radu Sărăroiu. Radu Sărăroiu charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radu Sărăroiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AFC United booed when MIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Sărăroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Orășan came free, but Lei Bin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lei Bin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 95th minute of the match.
